Bharti Airtel and Idea are looking good from a longer term perspective, says Vibhav Kapoor, IL&FS.
Kapoor told CNBC-TV18, "From a longer term perspective Bharti Airtel and Idea still look good. They have outperformed the rest of the market even after the correction. You had few negative news on the regulatory side for example there is 8% revenue sharing instead of 6% then a lot of other things regarding spectrum. So there is a bit of uncertainty out there as far as the sector is concerned in the short-term, but I think these are still good defensive bets on every decline."
Bharti Airtel trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 20.32 per share. (Sep, 2011). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 17.39. The latest book value of the company is Rs 115.42 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 3.06. The dividend yield of the company was 0.28%.
