| EGoM on sprectrum to be reconvened on July 5 |

CNBC-TV18 has learnt from sources that the spectrum EGoM is to be reconvened by July 5 and the Cabinet note on spectrum pricing is to be delayed. The DoT is to wait for the views of the finance and law ministries. The names of P Chidambaram and Anand Sharma are under consideration for membership in the spectrum EGoM and Sharad Pawar is being considered for the chair of the EGoM. The ministries are yet to comment on the draft Cabinet note whose proposals include a levy on market spectrum price on all telecoms, charge the market price for spectrum above the threshold and for the balance of the term of the licence. |
